I don't even know what to write about anymore. Things just seem so normal, everyday and boring - I feel like I'll put everyone to sleep. But I guess I'll try anyway.
So today is Wednesday... that means the boys get out of school at 12:05 - their favorite day of the school week. I go out for breakfast every Wednesday with my friends. Today we are going to the Wildflower Bread Company - my favorite place to go. I love their vegetable frittata and the honey ham & brie frittata - those are the best!!!!
After school today we need to go shopping for some supplies to make Randy's "Learning Fair" project. (I was too lazy to go yesterday and besides, I had already gone to the store yesterday while Randy was in school! I hate going to the store twice in one day!) He has chosen The White House as his focus, to research and make a model of.... this should be interesting!
Keith's "Learning Fair" project is on Lemurs - his class is studying the rainforest, so he had to choose an animal to research and make a model of. Yesterday Keith stayed home from school - he didn't feel well. His throat hurt and he had a slight fever -- yeah, he was fine, but he stayed home anyway and we did most of the work on his project and his clay lemur is finished along with the research. Now he just has to write up the report or use a brochure format or make a poster --- yes, he is in first grade (brochure format --- what the heck???).
Tomorrow is Fine Arts Night at school. Various art projects will be displayed and Randy's is one of them! Can't wait to go see it!
This past weekend we were supposed to go camping -- ha! That really didn't turn out as planned. Friday Jeff was going to leave work early and we were going to head up to Beaver Creek Campground. On Thursday, there was a major computer disaster at Jeff's work. So that put a damper on everything. I held off on cancelling the dog sitter, because I hoped that everything might get fixed up on Friday. Pretty much all day Friday I was talking back and forth with Jeff and my friends, who were going camping with us. I should have known that it wasn't meant to work out for us! Michele was smart enough to call the campground and found out that it was already full (they don't take any reservations) and so we looked into going somewhere else. I cancelled the dog sitter because at this point it seemed like Jeff wasn't going, so he'd be home with the dogs if I decided to go with the boys on Saturday. Well, some miracle happened at work, where all wasn't completely lost, like it could very well have been. We decided to go camping really close to home and Jeff was going to go too. We had all planned to go on Saturday morning, but when Jeff got home, he decided that he didn't want to go for just one night. So now, what about the dogs? We took them with us. We got to the White Tanks, Friday night, it was already dark - we paid our money to get in -- there was no one around... so we drove in a bit and picked a spot and set up our stuff. Three hours later - it's almost 10:30pm at this point - the park ranger comes and tells us that we can't camp where we are!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boys were already in the tent (supposedly sleeping, but they weren't) and we had the dogs and we had a lot of our stuff set up. So they let us stay there, but told us that we'd have to move in the morning. So after we disassembled everything and put it all back on the trailer, the thought of doing it all over again, was not appealing. So we had the fastest, crappiest camping trip ever!!!! The next one will be much better! Damn it!
Sunday we stayed home and had a very nice day. We rented The Day the Earth Stood Still and Bolt. We hung out, ate, drank and were merry. Jeff worked on some computer things for work. Keith went to Mama & Papa's - then they stopped by when they dropped him off. It was a relaxing day for the most part. How can TV and food be bad?
In the past couple of weeks I've read four books by Elin Hilderbrand.... The Blue Bistro, Nantucket Nights, The Love Season and Barefoot. They were all pretty good. Each story is set in Nantucket and makes me want to go back there!!!!!! The books do tell good stories - I couldn't wait to find out what happened in each one! You should read them!
Summer will be here before we know it! The boys' last day of school is June 2nd. We may be going to New Jersey sometime in June. It is still up in the air at this point. The boys would love to go to Disneyland one os these days. Randy has only been asking to go there for the past four years - poor kid. We'll make it there at some point! I'm going to try to figure out some fun stuff to do over the summer. If you have any ideas for us, pass them along. :)

Another week down....
Time just keeps flying! Last week we took the doggies to the vet. Chelsea needed blood work done so we can get her more meds and see what's up with her thyroid situation. Turns out that she also has a heart murmur, so we have to take her back to the vet tomorrow for x-rays. Ace had a lump on his "shoulder", which was a cyst, but Dr. Matt said it was essentially like a pimple on a person and he could remove it no problem. I tried to find the lump today and it wasn't there, so I guess we won't need to get it removed.
Last Wednesday the boys went to the dentist and I was happy to be told that they are both doing a good job of taking care of their teeth. I get to go to the dentist next week for my teeth - those darn pushy dentist office girls won't let me skip a cleaning.
Thursday Jeff and I went to the Science Center with Randy and his class for a field trip. It was insane!! The place is not very big and they had 26 bus loads of kids that day - that is at least 50 kids per bus!!!!!! You would think that they'd limit the amount of people they have there at the same time. It stunk, but Randy did have a little bit of fun.
Friday Jeff got to come home a little bit earlier than usual - the office closed two hours early. We went to McGrath's Fish House for dinner that night because i was too lazy to make dinner.
Saturday it rained! That stunk, especially for the gal who was getting married and the girls who were going to prom that night. I did the maid of honor's hair and got the low-down on the wedding - it was held at the Phoenix Zoo - of all places! Lucky for them, they have a room for just such an occasion. It was going to take place outside by the giraffes, but rain and mud make for a very messy wedding. I'm sure the prom girls did fine because it stopped raining later in the day, so it was good for them.
Sunday was Easter and I forgot to take my camera to my parents' house. We went there for lunch. Old Mama and Old Papa, Bob and Nina, Zoli, Chris, Zoli and Cody were there. I did use Apu's camera, but I didn't get the pics yet. They may or may not be posted later. :)
This morning I took the dogs for a "meet & greet" at the pet sitter's. She has two retired racers, a super chubby Lab and five Italian Greyhounds! All very cute. I think Ace and Chelsea will have a good time there while we go camping!
Last week I finished reading "Agincourt" by Bernard Cornwell - it was a pretty cool book. Kings, war, archers, men at arms, horrible priests, nuns, saints - good stuff. I started reading "Barefoot" by Elin Hilderbrand and finished that last night. That was good too! That one was present time and took place in Nantucket. I love Nantucket!! I reserved the four other books written by Hilderbrand, from the library. Hopefully I'll get them soon. In the meantime, I started reading book three of the Sign of Seven trilogy - I only had to wait over nine months to finally get some closure on that one! Well, I'm going to continue reading it now. Good night all!

I should have written sooner...
I have a terrible memory!!! Let's see, what can I tell you?
Jeff bought an electronic drum set - that's news. He and the boys are really enjoying it. I am going to look into drum lessons for the boys. They seem truly interested.
Jeff replaced the ruined pieces of laminate flooring in the living/dining room. We moved some furniture around and got a new rug.
I have red hair again - but I know that won't last long. It never does, my hair doesn't hold color well. It's already fading.

The boys are doing well. Randy still has testing this week. Tomorrow both of their classes get to wear whatever they want!! Both classes had the best attendance for the last semester! Keith got the Rising Star award this past Friday at the student assembly! Yay Keith!!!!
Randy's class is going on a field trip this Thursday - to the Science Center! Jeff and I are going too. Keith's class is going to see the play "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" on May 11th. I won't be going on that field trip - they only need a few parents and the slots are already filled.
Well that's all I can think of for now. Happy Tuesday :)
