Sunday
It's Sunday and I'm off from work - it's so nice to be off - I worked the last four weekends since the kids had half days and the two weeks off. Today I get to catch up on a ton of laundry, possibly do some cleaning, water my plants outside, clean up the yard, sew Ryla's apron, clean the carpets with Iza's steam cleaner (since mine is broken - thanks for letting me borrow it Iza!), maybe make some lunch, probably some dinner too and then go work for a staff meeting. Now all I have to do is - get off this computer and start doing all that stuff!
Speaking of computers, mine is having serious issues. Jeff will be getting me a new one soon. So I am not on line much because of the issues and I've found that I get a lot more stuff done without having a computer!

I'm lazy
and we've been very boring. Last Monday my friends took me to dinner for my birthday at McGrath's Fish House. That was very good. I got a free dessert and a picture of me with a fish hat on my head - I will scan that one of these days and post it. The rest of the week, we stayed home and did a whole lot of nothing. The boys did some homework and book reports. I started reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. It's a good book and it's long! And there are five more books in the series -- I'll have to get them all.
The boys went back to school today. It went well. I spent a couple of hours in Keith's class. Then I picked the boys up early because I had to take Keith to the dentist. One of his silver caps fell out and needed to be replaced. It seems like all is well with the teeth for now.
I can't think of anything else at the moment... see? it's just boring!

Wet Beaver Creek Campground
Tuesday was spent in Bisbee, Tombstone and driving home. Wednesday was a day to do stuff at home, and meet friends at the park and then go home to pack our stuff for camping & go to the store to get some food for camping. Jeff had to work :( -- so the boys and I went without him. We met Lisa, Jack, Colin & Gen and Amy, Jim, Jacob & Andrew at the Beaver Creek Campground, near Camp Verde. We got up there around noon yesterday- we would have gotten there sooner had I not decided to take an uncalled for detour. But we got there and had a great time! Lisa helped me put our tent up. And my set-up was much less extravagant without Homer. It was much easier to pack up too! Amy and Jim helped me take the tent down and get that sucker back in the bag!
The creek was so nice. We could have gone swimming, but the water was too cold and we didn't take bathing suits anyway. There were five boys and only one girl, but Genevieve was right there with the boys most of the time! The kids had a great time. They hiked, climbed trees, played their soldier/battle games, threw rocks in the water, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores! What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, Randy spotted a frog and Keith noticed a lizard.

Bisbee was great!
We all liked Bisbee a lot. The boys didn't want to leave. They said they want to live there. We had a really good time. We stayed at the Sleepy Dog Guest House http://www.sleepydogguesthouse.com/ - which was quite a hike and very interesting to get to in the car! The little house was very cute. We had two kitty visitors, lots of butterflies, other interesting bugs and several humming birds. We had a great view from our little house. We checked out a lot of antiques and other shops. We took the Copper Mine tour and we ate a lot! We had dinner at the Bisbee Grille and we had breakfast at the Copper Queen Hotel http://www.copperqueen.com/ - yes, the very same hotel that the Ghost Hunters investigated. We toured the hotel - it was cool, but we didn't run into any ghosts. On our way home, we stopped in Tombstone and had lunch at Big Nose Kate's saloon. We walked the main street of Tombstone and stopped in the Bird Cage Theater, then hit the road. It was a good trip!!!

Yesterday...
Was my birthday. I went to work and found my station decorated with streamers, balloons, flowers, candy, confetti and cake!
I'm working on my first customer and in come Michele, Paul and the girls bearing yummy deliciousness from Leap's - a Sugar Daddy - frozen coffee drink. Thanks guys!!! It was super tasty!
Jeff had a yard sale in the morning and made a little money - dinero for our Bisbee adventure.
After work the boys took me out to dinner. We went to Applebee's and we all ended up bringing home our full dinners. And we ate them today.
I worked today and Jeff cleaned up the house a bit and did laundry -- how nice for me - all I have to do is put the clean clothes away.
I need to pack, we leave for Bisbee bright and early!

I've been lazy...
and maybe a little busy too. On Monday I helped out in Keith's class for a few hours, then I went home to let Ace out and had some breakfast/lunch. Then it was back to school to help out at the bookfair. Tuesday was the same thing, only I was in Randy's class - then home - then the bookfair. Today I met my friends at Einstein Bros. Bagels - that was yummy and fun! http://www.einsteinbros.com/#/home/ I like Wednesdays. I did stop in at the bookfair again today- not to help out, but to buy myself a book. I already bought the boys books on the first day. I got the book "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. Its about vampires and I heard that the series is good - we'll have to see how it goes.
Yesterday Jeff didn't come home from work. He stayed there ALL night and didn't come home until 8am this morning. That stunk, but at least Ace slept on the bed with me all night to keep me company. Jeff fell asleep after he got home and around 5pm we were bugging him to get up. I wonder if he'll be able to sleep tonight... I guess we'll see.
Today was a half day as usual, so the boys went to their friends house. Tomorrow and Friday are also half days - then their two week fall break starts. We have parent teacher conferences tomorrow - I'm hoping there won't be any surprises, especially since I talk to both of their teacher each week.
Monday we are heading to Bisbee. We are going to stay at the Sleepy Dog Guesthouse. http://www.sleepydogguesthouse.com/ Just one night, but that should be enough time. We're also going to hit up Tombstone, since it's close. I can't wait. It's a four hour ride and the boys aren't looking forward to it, but it should be fun anyway!!
