Back to school...

The two week spring break is over. The boys went back to school today and of course brought homework home with them! It's not too bad though. We didn't do much over break. We managed to go through the garage and Jeff had a stellar yard sale!! The boys went through Jeff's old army stuff with him and here are a few pictures of that....

Randy with a gas mask on.

Randy received some sort of medal.

Little Sniper Hawke at attention.

Jeff sportin' the gas mask get-up.
We all sampled bits of MREs (meals ready to eat) and threw them all away!!!
It was a nice spring break. I wish it wasn't over!!!

Football

Randy played his last two football games this past Saturday.
I actually got to watch the last game!!! They won both games!!
And finished their season with 5 wins and 3 losses.
Sunday the team had their end of season party at Barro's pizza.
Here are a few pictures from there...
The guys waiting for their pictures and trophies.

Randy with coach Scott.

The guys having quite a bit of fun.

The cake... it was supposed to say "Great Job Cyclones".
Not very good penmanship.
Oh well - it was all good!!!

Oh the excitement...

The most exciting thing happened yesterday! The bug man came to spray..... it's true, not much excitement going on around here lately. Well there has been a couple of things.
Randy's class went on a field trip to the Desert Outdoor Center at Lake Pleasant, last Friday.
Here is the lake...

The first class taught them about the Hohokam Indians, petroglyphs and pictographs.

They got to paint their own pictographs.

Randy painted the sun, water, land and a man. A little hard to see in the picture.

This class was about aquatic life.
They got to examine dirty pond water and found some interesting
and creepy things living in there.

The other class was about desert animals.
They (and I) learned some cool stuff about the difference between venom and poison.
Learned what to do when you hear a rattlesnake.
Also learned that it was not a good idea to lick a frog!!
This was one of the best field trips we've been on out of all since kindergarten!!
