Back to the old grind

Friday night was girls night out. Amy, Michele, Lisa, Janelle & I went to Macayo's. We all had margaritas and some yummy Mexican food. It was a fun night.
Saturday slips my mind.... I went to work. The boys played on their computers. Jeff took the carpeting off the stairs and some parts of the hallway. Oh yeah, then we went to Island's for some tasty burgers. Then we hit up Old Navy and the Guitar Center.
Sunday we ate all of our leftovers and went to Basha's, PetCo, Walmart, Old Navy and Guitar Center (yup, again).
The boys went back to school yesterday. They both said they had pretty good days, but neither one wanted to do their homework! Jeff went to look at a drum set yesterday... which he will most likely be buying today.
AIMS testing started at school today - we'll see how that goes - it's a total of six days. It's broken up with the half days in between and Randy's class field trip next week - going to the Science Center!
I went to Trader Joe's and Walmart with Anyu today and had lunch with her and Cathy. Baked some vanilla cake and lounged on the hammock with the boys after they did their homework.
Now we just have to make dinner and wait for Homie to get home. He has to go to work for midnight (or there about) tonight and tomorrow is our monthly breakfast date - woohooo!
Have a good night all!

Time flies

I can't believe it's already Thursday and spring break is almost over.
This week has been very relaxing! We did some shopping and a whole lot of hanging out. We (Keith and I) spent some time lounging in the hammock. Enjoying the flowers and weather. My sunflowers are gone, but the snail vine, lantana, hibiscus, marigolds and the others are doing well. The boys have been getting in a lot of computer time and having fun on the Wii. We went to Joann's & got a couple of our knives sharpened. We went to Kohls and found some excellent prices on shirts for the boys! $3 for hooded sweatshirts!!! Regular price $32! You can't beat that! We've been to Target and Walmart. Of course we've hit up McDonalds and Arby's. The boys and I went bowling - that was interesting! We've visited Mama & Papa. We stopped in to say hi to Old Mama & Old Papa. We've taken the doggies for walks.
We got a visit from the Express Flooring man to get a price for doing the stairs... Jeff will be doing the stairs himself - with laminate. Thanks for nothing Express Flooring. It has started - Jeff has taken the carpet off of a few steps and at some point, we'll have laminate upstairs and on the stairs!
Yesterday Jeff got tickets to the Suns game. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe, then watched a heck of an intense game! It was great!!!!!! Go Suns!!!
This Sunday is last day of the Renaissance Festival :( Hopefully I'll make a ton of money at work on Saturday and then we'll go to the fest on Sunday!!! I need to alter my blue dress! I better get to work!

Week #2

Spring break continues...
We didn't do anything special last week. We went to the library, Target, Walmart, etc. and we ate out a few times. We didn't make it to Sedona because I was feeling terrible. I think it was just allergies, but it came on like someone had flipped a switch and now it's gradually going away!
Jeff stayed home on Thursday because the plan was to go to Sedona - since I felt too crappy for that, we just went to Best Buy instead! Jeff got me a new tiny Asus Netbook - so I can use it while lounging on the couch! Thanks Homie!
Today I think we will attempt to do some spring cleaning - starting with Keith's room! That little boy is very messy! Then we may go somewhere. Where? I don't know, we'll have to figure that part out later. Better go start the day!

Spring Break has begun.

Last week the boys had three half days at the end of the week. Thursday and Friday were parent teacher conferences. I am happy to report that both boys are doing well! The boys are off for two weeks for spring break.
Yesterday we went to visit Papa and Mama. Papa had a bunch of teeth pulled on Friday and we went to check up on him. We also went to the library since I've finally finished reading the Twilight series and I needed some new reading material. The boys and I went to McGrath's Fish House for lunch yesterday. They both really like popcorn shrimp! I didn't even have to make dinner because we had plenty of leftovers! :)
That was the good stuff - now here's the bad...
Last night we decided to move our china cabinet and return Pig-pig to his previous location. When we did that, we discovered that our rotten cats had peed on the love seat that we got from my parents!!! And it went right through and ruined the floor!!! We had to check the couch too and sure enough, there was a small spot under there as well. We tossed the couches out on the curb! Two neighbors came by to ask about the couches -- they were told to take a sniff!! and that the couches were free if they wanted them. Jeff later made a sign saying "Free - please take a big sniff first!" This morning, the couches were gone! Cat pee ---- UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So last night, Jeff called Home Depot to find the flooring and he will be picking up a ton of it today. He is going to replace the ruined pieces and since we were lucky enough to find a large quantity, he's also going to replace the carpet upstairs with the laminate flooring.
Today we went to Verrado to spend some time with friends and have lunch at the park ~ that was really nice. A perfect day to spend at the park!!
Thursday we are planning to go to Sedona - hopefully we'll make it there and I'll remember my camera!
Now I should get off this darn computer and get some work done! :)

Friday was not a great day... but things got better.

After I determined that Keith would stay home from school and go to the doctor's office, I had to take Randy to school. We got in the car and tried closing the garage door - as usual - but that day, it decided not to close. The garage door opener bit the dust! We got to school and I asked Randy if he had his homework.... you guessed it, he didn't! So I had to go back home to get it and bring it to school for him. I took Keith to the doctor and he is fine. Going to see the doctor is always so aggravating! We saw the "doctor" - she is a P.A. - for all of 5 minutes, but we spent an hour and a half at the office. Keith will be seeing an allergist soon.
Randy has earned some reading rewards -- those are free personal pizzas from Pizza Hut! He had two of these coupons, so that is what the boys had for dinner on Friday night. Jeff went to the movies and saw "Watchmen" with his friends.
Saturday Jeff bought and put up the new garage door opener. The boys went with my parents to the Goodyear Swapmeet. The Luke AFB Fire Emergency Services people were there. The boys got to check out a ladder truck and got hats and other things from them. They had a good time. Jeff had dinner ready by the time I got home and Michele delivered yummy delicious girl scout cookies too!! All I had to do was sit down and eat!!
Sunday the boys spent the day with Mama and Papa because Jeff, BK and I went to the pleasure feast at the renaissance festival! It was a ton of fun!
Jeff and I - just before leaving.

The joust - our knight - he lost.

The Star Trek crew beamed back in time.

Me and BK

This was our appetizer - the first of six courses, during the two hour feast!

It has happened again

Keith woke up yesterday morning with his top lip swollen. It wasn't as bad as the first time that it happened, so he went to school. He did go to the nurse twice and she called me minutes after I got home from work. I picked him up about and hour early from school. Randy was surprised and happy to be going home early. I called the doctor's office, but of course they were closed for lunch, so I decided to wait and see what would happen. It got worse last night, even after a couple of doses of Benadryl. This morning his lip is as big as it was that first time. We really need to figure out what's causing it. We'll be going to see the doctor today, but I doubt that will help aside from the meds she'll prescribe.
Here he is trying to smile...

Here's Randy - annoyed with me for taking pictures this morning. And one more shot of Keith & his big lip...

Time keeps flying by

The weekend has come and gone. I had to work Saturday and Sunday. Those days weren't very exciting. Saturday Jeff spent the day working on the brakes of the Mini (a.k.a. Clownie). That took unexpectedly long because of two lousy bolts that weren't threaded properly. But he managed (with some help from Nacho) to get it all done. We had some junk food for dinner that night from Wendy's. Why is it that Wendy's and McDonald's and all that stuff tasted so much better when I was younger? On Sunday Jeff grilled up some burgers for us - they were tasty! Yesterday Jeff went to work at 1:30am and got home around 10:30am. We went to Denny's for breakfast and then I got a pedicure. If only everyday could be like that (minus the hubby going to work after midnight)! Last night we grilled up some chicken - super simple and surprisingly both boys kept commenting about how delicious the chicken was and that we should have it more often - no problem! We'll do that! What's for dinner tonight? Chicken salad sandwitches! Yum! Therefore I should head out to the store to get some yummy bread, fresh celery, onions and grapes. Oh yeah, we're almost out of mayo too! I should write out my list..........
