Yesterday

We went to Mama's house and gave her and Cathy haircuts. Then we went to Sugar N Spice for ice cream and coffee. We went to the library after that to return books, get new books and claim the third prize in the reading program - they were little stuffed bugs. We stayed at the library to watch a Japanese Taiko drumming demonstration. That was pretty cool. Keith and I had a chance to try beating on a drum, but Randy declined to do it.
Keith accidentally discovered that he likes garlic powder on his pizza --- we had pizza for lunch and I put garlic powder on my two slices and I put my plate on the table along with Keith's plate - two slices minus the garlic -- he sat down in front of my plate and starting chomping away!! Today Randy decided to try the garlic and they both like it!! Yay! We can all have garlic breath together!!!

Wednesday

We did some shopping today. We went to Fry's, where we ran into Mama and Keith decided to go with her. So Randy and I went on to WalMart. We bought lots of yummy things to eat. Then we went to Mama's, where Keith was already swimming. Randy joined him while I ran to Taco Bell to get us all some lunch. For dinner we grilled some Beer Brats and made Randy's favorite shells and cheese. After dinner I went to a small business seminar with Michele and heard some motivating and interesting stuff. Now I'm postin' and watchin' Ghost Hunters!

The past few days...

On Saturday we went to the Bronder's house after I got home from work - for food, fun and swimming. It was fun - the boys got to play on a Wii for the first time and of course they really liked it!
Sunday Jeff finished up some of the edges of the floor. The boys got to play their games of course. We made spaghetti and garlic toast for dinner.
Monday we went swimming at Mama and Papa's house. Then we went to Old Mama and Old Papa's house because it was Old Papa's birthday. So Anyu bought some Hawaiin food and a super yummy Boston Creme Cake!
Today we went to Mama's to swim and I finally took the camera!

I should have taken the camera!

We had a great time at the pool! Michele, Lisa and I sat in the water and hung out, while our children were being daredevils! Randy went down the slide several times. (The picture of the slide is from their website.) They have two different sizes of diving boards. Randy has been on the smaller one before, but today for the first time he jumped off the high dive!! And Keith had never been off the diving board, but always wanted to... today he jumped off the smaller one - over and over and over again!!

Its Friday

And we have big plans... we're going to the Buckeye Pool! We've been to the library this week. The boys collected their first two prizes from the reading program. They got Wikki Sticks and growing bugs. We put the bugs in water and they grew to about 3x their original size. We went to Costco and managed to spend $100 on almost nothing!! I scrubbed the kitchen floor on my hands and knees yesterday -- I already see spots on it this morning -- I hate cleaning! I still haven't finished painting - I hate doing that too. I'd rather sit here in front of the computer - at least for a little while longer!

Today was a good day.

We woke up at our usual "too early for waking up in the summer" time. We had some breakfast (I know Randy's plate is empty - he just finished eating his vittles) and took it easy.
We went to the movies and saw Kung Fu Panda.
(Which was pretty darn good, by the way.) We went swimming at Michele's house. The boys are water-logged and I just got my butt and legs wet sitting on the nice big step. And we're having breaded chicken for dinner!! What could be better?

Animal update....

Max is on the highest level of the cat tree up in the loft - looking down at Ace, who is laying on the fuzzy rug at the foot of the stairs. Ginger is in the window sill, wishing she could be out on the balcony.
Henry decided to blankey himself up on the couch. Piggy is at his door waiting for some yummy parsley, kale, romaine, celery and spinach!

Summer reading and computer math

That's what were are doing this summer. We're doing the Summer Reading Program from the Litchfield Park Library and each day the boys have to do some math on one of the many websites out there that have cool math games. We went to the library yesterday and got some books and the game board to keep track of how many books we've read. I got two books for myself -- I figured I'd give Stephen King's Duma Key another try. They had several copies this time and no reservations for the book, so now I don't feel pressured to finish reading in a certain amount of time. I also got Sophie Kinsella's Remember Me?
I never did shovel rocks on Wednesday - I trimmed up some shrubs instead. I did shovel rocks yesterday. Today I'm staying inside - after I water my plants. Maybe we'll do some housework - yuck!
It's Friday the 13th!!! AAAhhhhhh!

Yesterday

We went through the car wash.
We went to Food City for veggies and produce.
We went to WalMart for everthing else.
The boys went swimming at Mama's.
Ace accidently fell into the pool (in the deep end of course)-
since Greyhounds don't swim...it was a little scary,
but I was able to pull him right out.
He swallowed a bit of water, but he was fine.
Last night was girls' night out. We went to Amy's house and had a bunch of yummy vittles!
She even made cream puffs - from scratch!!!!
So that was yesterday -- we'll see what happens today.

Stuff that's been happening...

Yesterday Jacob and Andrew came over for a while. The boys played and entertained each other and I was able to get some stuff done. Then we all went to McDonald's for lunch. McDonald's is really changing their image. The new one by us is so pretty inside, you don't even think you're in a McDonald's. The boys' went swimming at mama and papa's house and Jeff got home a little late.
Monday we took Ace to the vet because he wasn't eating for three days. Matt checked Ace out from top to bottom and took some x-rays to see if maybe there were some rocks in his tummy - since Ace likes to chew on rocks. We saw no rocks and overall Ace seemed fine - so we don't really know what the problem was. As soon as we got home, Ace chowed down his banana and then he ate all of his dinner. Go figure!
That night I met BK and we had dinner at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant - it was pretty good. Then we went to see You Don't Mess with the Zohan - the Adam Sandler movie. It was incredibly stupid, but super funny!!
Sunday I went to work and I got my hair colored and cut. It was really slow! I even left work early. I don't remember anything else about Sunday.
Saturday Jeff got us a "new" washer and dryer because our washing machine died on Friday. The boys were invited to a birthday party that afternoon at the neighbor's house and when I got home from work we went to a new chinese restaurant, close to our house - which stunk, so we won't be going back there.
Friday I started to shovel the rocks out of our backyard, so we can grow some grass!!
I'm off to shovel more rocks! Before the temperature hits "too hot to be outside"!

Sex and the City....

I have never watched an episode of the show, but Michele asked me if I wanted to go with her and Jill to the midnight premiere on Thursday night. My reply at first was that I'd be asleep on the couch by 9:30, but then I changed my mind after Jeff told me that I should get out of the house. So I went (and didn't get home until 3am) and I really liked the movie. It made me laugh and it made me cry and it made me want to watch the series. Anyway, I liked the movie and you will too - so go see it!
